Gregg Consentino

Vocal Coach

Blending artistic sensitivity with technical expertise to develop uniquely authentic voices.

An artist-centered space for singer-songwriters and vocalists to find their most honest expression.

Perspective

Technique exists to serve expression, not the other way around.

When your voice is reliable, you get to stop worrying and actually play—with range, tone, dynamics, and nuance—without strain or second-guessing.

My approach grew out of early training in Speech Level Singing and years of involvement with Vocology in Practice, blending real-world experience with what we know from voice science.

Underneath all of that, the work is about connection: to your own instrument, to the truth of the song, and to the audience receiving it. Technique gives you stability; authenticity is what makes it worth listening to.

The Artists

The “art” in artistry often comes from the voice feeling truthful, not just polished.

I work with singers at different stages and in different styles, though most of my studio these days is made up of singer-songwriters.

Some are still discovering what their voice is. Others are established and want more reliability, freedom, and nuance.

The only real requirement is a willingness to show up with curiosity and consistency. We do the work together, and growth comes from steady attention over time.

Industry Alliances

You’re not doing this in isolation.

Much of my studio grows through trusted professional relationships.

I collaborate closely with Shane Adams, a Nashville-based, award-winning music producer, songwriter, author, and songwriting educator. Together, we help artists build strong, dependable vocal foundations as part of their larger artistic journey.

When it makes sense, I can connect you with respected pros in songwriting, production, performance coaching, voice medicine, and more—referrals that come from real need and keep your long-term growth front and center.

Background

My job is helping you build a voice that’s sustainable, authentic, and fully your own.

For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with singers across abilities and styles.

My earliest training was rooted in Bel Canto; later I studied Speech Level Singing directly with its founder as well as with other master teachers, and I’ve continued my education as an authorized Vocology in Practice instructor since its inception, which has given me the opportunity to keep learning from leaders in the field.

I’m currently on the executive team and have served on the Board of Directors for Vocology in Practice since its early days, staying connected to the latest in voice science and professional standards.
